The VW Korir foundation was started by Vincent Korir, a man who is passionate about education. Having been raised in Cheptebe, he saw first-hand the challenges the villagers undergo in giving their children basic education. He was fortunate because his father, William Ngeno, was equally extremely passionate about education and did everything he could to ensure that his children went to school. To him, getting basic education was a non-negotiable. Noting that some students dropped out of school at a young age due to socio-economic reasons, Vincent together with his wife, vowed to one day return to the village to give back to society and impact lives through education. This led to the formation of VW Korir Foundation, a non profit organization that is aimed at promoting basic education to bright under privileged student of Cheptebe primary school and beyond. His father passed on but his legacy lives through Vincent. Hebrews 1:16 Do not forget to do good and to share with others, for with such sacrifices God is pleased.
